Senior GIS officer
Tresor Hirwa is a passionate environmental planner from Rwanda with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning (2024) and extensive experience in GIS, spatial analysis, and sustainable development. Since 2021, he has served as National Coordinator of Students For Liberty Rwanda and Great Lakes Regional Secretary, leading liberty-based youth programs. Between 2022 and 2024, he was President of ARC7 Rwanda (Kigali region), managing proposal writing and grant submissions. Tresor also worked with Mass Design Group on EU-funded education infrastructure studies and later joined GEO Services Ltd for the Kigali Urban Transport Improvement Project. In 2024, he contributed to socio-economic assessments with NIRDA and ESRI Rwanda and supported the Volcano Conservation Project with BIOCHEM-RD. As Country Director of the African Youth Forum International, he coordinates SDG-aligned national programs. He is a published researcher and skilled communicator, known for his leadership, data management, and commitment to positive change in policy and community development.
