NSENGIYUMVA Francois
Co-Founder/ Senior Environmentalist
Nsengiyumva Francois is an experienced agripreneur and environmental planner with over six years of leadership in sustainable agriculture, youth empowerment, and rural development in Rwanda. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Spatial Planning from the University of Rwanda and has founded Youth Agro Visionary Farm (YAVF), a pioneering youth-led enterprise focused on livestock feed production and climate-smart farming. Since 2022, he has served as Director of YAVF, training youth and managing partnerships for distribution and innovation. From 2023 to 2024, Francois worked as Programs Coordinator at Rwanda Youth in Action Organization, where he led environmental restoration and entrepreneurship programs. He also contributed to gorilla conservation research and community training with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund in 2023. As a consultant with Stewardship Agribusiness Incubation Center (2022–2024), he supported agribusiness development and climate resilience initiatives. Francois is certified in project management, GIS, M&E, and livestock health, and is recognized for his practical leadership, digital proficiency, and impactful publications on environmental issues.
