Maryse UMUZIGA

Maryse UMUZIGA is a passionate and skilled Environmental Planning professional with practical experience in Environmental, Social, Health, and Safety (ESHS) operations. As of January 2025, she serves as an ESHS Assistant at CRBC in Kigali, Rwanda, ensuring legal compliance and best practices in rehabilitation works while actively mobilizing affected communities. In late 2024, she worked with the VCRP Socioeconomic Survey in Nyabihu District, conducting household surveys and analyzing data for policy formulation. Earlier, in 2024, Maryse interned at CGIS where she assessed urban expansion impacts on agriculture in Rwamagana. She also served as an enumerator for Mass Design, gathering educational infrastructure data across Rwanda. Maryse holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Planning from the College of Science and Technology (2021–2024) and completed specialized training in GIS for Climate Action through Esri Rwanda in 2023. She brings technical expertise in GIS software (ArcMap, QGIS), MS Office, and KOBO Collect, alongside strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills. Maryse is fluent in English and Kinyarwanda.
